Thank you to all who attended for a fantastic inaugural conference!
We held two tracks throughout the week that focused on resilience and commercialization. The teams are currently at work on reports focused on capturing the discussions and recommendations for the industry. These reports are the first of the five products that OSMED will create.
Some of the expert content is specifically chosen to inform the development of additional content that is focused on different levels of science communication. This includes general adult and children’s content explained without the technical jargon used in the expert content. In this way we hope to provide a path for those interested to continue to dive deeper into understanding the unique science and challenges in human spaceflight.
Below you’ll find some pictures from the inaugural conference. You may notice a few pictures of sock puppets! We press our experts to communicate their concepts at a level understandable by a child. This is one of the ways that OSMED is different from other professional societies – we want to connect everyone with the cutting edge of science in ways they can understand.
