Dr. Alexandra Arce

Mentorship Committee

Dr. Alexandra Arce is a Family medicine-trained physician from Dallas, Texas, pursuing opportunities and projects in space medicine. Very much a “jack-of-all-trades,” she has additional training in HIV medicine, hyperbaric medicine, and obesity medicine, while also working as an emergency physician and hospitalist in the Dallas area. As a part of OSMED, she is assistant director of the mentorship committee, and contributes to the development of clinical guidelines concerning the practice of space medicine. She enjoys bringing people together, and looks to elevate others by helping them forge connections.

In her spare time, Alexandra is an avid reader and gamer. When outside of the hospital, she dedicates herself to raising her large and rambunctious Australian Shepherd, Cotopaxi.
