OSMED Journal Club: Creating the Definitive Archive of Human Spaceflight Participants (OPEN TO EVERYONE)

Join OSMED’s July Journal Club for Building ASPA: Creating the Definitive Archive of Human Spaceflight Participants, a public discussion exploring the creation, initial data, and future development of the Astronaut and Spaceflight Participant Archive.

ASPA is a comprehensive dataset designed to document every human who has traveled to space. During this session, the presenters will discuss how the archive was developed, what its early data reveals, and how it may support future research in human spaceflight, space medicine, and epidemiology.

The event will be hosted by Kate Flickinger, MS, PhD, and will feature Robert Nagy, PhD, Robert Reynolds, MS, MPH, PhD, and Farhan Asif.

The presenters will also share their screens and use the OSMED Repository during the discussion. Because the repository is normally available exclusively to OSMED members, attendees will receive a first look at one of the new resources OSMED is rolling out.

Date: Thursday, July 23, 2026
Time: 5:00 PM ET
Access: Open to the public
