Research Lecture Series: Addressing Communication Challenges Between Space Science Disciplines (MEMBERS ONLY)

Join OSMED for a members-only Research Lecture Series event featuring Daniel Buckland, MD, PhD, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET.

Dr. Buckland will explore the communication challenges that arise between space science disciplines and how stronger interdisciplinary collaboration can improve research, mission planning, and decision-making. Drawing on his experience in emergency medicine, mechanical engineering, human spaceflight risk, autonomy, and safety-critical systems, he will examine how experts across medicine, engineering, operations, and science can better translate complex ideas, align priorities, and work together to support safer and more effective human space exploration.
