Join the Organization for Space Medicine, Engineering, and Design (OSMED) for a special Grand Rounds session featuring Maybritt Kuypers, MD, PhD, FAWM, an experienced European Space Agency flight surgeon with a background in aerospace, emergency and wilderness medicine. Dr. Kuypers has supported multiple International Space Station expeditions as well as launch and landing operations involving SpaceX and Soyuz missions, and she is currently supporting future ESA missions connected to the Artemis, Gateway and Moon-to-Mars programs.

Her career has also included work in emergency medicine, remote and expedition medicine, commercial suborbital spaceflight and astronaut medical screening and training. In addition to her operational work, Dr. Kuypers serves as a senior lecturer at Leiden University Medical Center and is an instructor in Advanced Wilderness Life Support.

This public online Grand Rounds session will offer attendees an opportunity to hear directly from Dr. Kuypers about her experience across operational space medicine, human spaceflight and the evolving medical needs of future exploration missions.
