Join OSMED for the September Bioastronautics Journal Club as Grant Goodman, an MD/PhD candidate at UT Health San Antonio, presents this month’s article and leads a discussion on the effects of spaceflight on mission-critical locomotor function. The session will explore how changes in movement, skeletal muscle health and physiological resilience may affect human health and performance during spaceflight.
Grant’s research examines how aging and disuse affect skeletal muscle health, with the goal of supporting human performance in space across the lifespan. He also contributes to OSMED and NASA Open Science Data Repository Analysis Working Group projects.
