Join the Organization for Space Medicine, Engineering, and Design for the OSMED Michigan Happy Hour, the first public event hosted by the emerging OSMED Michigan community. This in-person gathering is designed to bring together professionals, researchers, students, educators and spaceflight enthusiasts from across medicine, engineering, design, science and human space exploration for an evening of conversation, networking and community building.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet others working or studying in related fields, learn more about OSMED and its growing Michigan community and explore opportunities to connect and collaborate across disciplines. Whether you are already involved in human spaceflight or simply interested in contributing to its future, the event offers an informal setting to build relationships with others who share that interest. The Happy Hour will take place Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. ET at the Leinweber Innovation Laboratory in the Climate Science Research Building on the University of Michigan North Campus in Ann Arbor. The event is open to OSMED members, BLiSS students and anyone in the Michigan area interested in the future of human spaceflight. No registration is required, and light food and refreshments will be provided.
