Spaceflight Epidemiology Analysis Working Group (OPEN TO EVERYONE)

Join OSMED on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM ET for the first meeting of the Spaceflight Epidemiology Analysis Working Group, formerly the Human AWG. This public session will introduce the group’s focus on advancing epidemiological approaches for understanding human health, performance, and risk across spaceflight environments.

Attendees will hear from event host Kate Flickinger, MS, PhD, Principal Physiologist in the Applied Physiology Lab at the University of Pittsburgh, and learn how this working group will support future discussion, collaboration, and analysis at the intersection of space medicine, human research, and population health. This event is open to the public and welcomes anyone interested in space medicine, epidemiology, human spaceflight, research, and the future of health beyond Earth.
