OSMED Research & Journal Club Special Lecture: Autonomous Medical Officer Support Software Technology & the ISS (OPEN TO EVERYONE)

Join OSMED for a Research & Journal Club Special Lecture on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET for a discussion on Autonomous Medical Officer Support Software Technology and its use aboard the International Space Station.

This session will explore cutting-edge applications of AI-supported medical instruction for spaceflight procedures, with a focus on a novel software tool designed to move beyond the current ISS model of pre-flight training and real-time remote guidance. Guests Erik Antonsen, Doug Ebert, Carlos De Los Santos, Joe Schmid, Ali Al, and Kimia Seyedmadani will discuss how multidimensional, in-flight, just-in-time instruction could help support future medical operations in space and advance the capabilities of autonomous crew medical care.
